need help changing the opti 94 ta

need help changing the opti 94 ta

do u have to remove the water pump or what, pain in the a$$, or is there a way that it needs to be done


please help someone

Isnt the water pump only 6 bolts? You also have to remove the balancer.

waterpump,balancer,of the belt.make sure to get waterpump gaskets.you dont want to put the waterpump back on and it leaks down to the opti.

Yep. Water pump must come off. If it's old, you may consider putting a new one on. The A.I.R. pump bracket, belt, and bottom pulley/balancer have to come off too. Good news is the pulley is just three bolts and you can pull it off the hub, which can stay, just needs to be turned so it's like a Y and the opti can pull straight forward and out.

Just try to be patient, rushing through it usually just causes mistakes and lots of grief.

if its your 1st time its going to take alot more then an evening


pull then fans

Belt

drain coolent

pull the balancer

pull coil

AIR PUMP

water pump - watch out one of the bolts on the drivers side will spit **** at you
