NAPA dipstick, will it work?

Before I make a trip out to NAPA, will their dipstick tube replacement fit my car? The dealer already sent me the wrong one, so I am suspect to try these guys as well.

Anyone know of an online place where I can order a stock one with one bend out from the block then straight up?

Not sure about the NAPA, but FYI if you want an EASY one to install (if you have headers) get the LOKAR flexible dipstick. Fits well.

yeah I saw that, then I saw the price didnt want to purchase a dipstick tube that costed 5% of my total engine purchase price. thanks for the info tho, that would be the perfect tube if it wasnt for the price.

i'd spend the cash now and get the lokar. i have broken mine twice. (damn mounting tab!)

Dipstick Tube:
GM PART # 12551154
CATEGORY: Engine Oil Level

the Dipstick itself:
GM PART # 12551144
CATEGORY: Engine Oil Level

about 17 bucks together from www.gmpartsdirect.com. if you don't feel like ordering from them, at least you can take the part numbers right to your local stealership and not worry about some idiot ordering you the wrong number.

(for 93-94 lt1s)
1993-1994 oil dipstick tube 12551831
1993-1994 oil dipstick 10232187

edit: its also amusing that the only search with part numbers for a google search of "lt1 dipstick part number" is a porsche-hybrid board. of course, they took everything from shoebox's parts list.

thanks again for the help mourning! I had my buddy who owns a shop order me one and I just cross referenced the part number sticker with what you posted and it matches, so I should be good to go!
