N2O on an LT1

Hey this is my first time posting in LT1 Tech, so be nice.

I have a bone-stock 95 LT1 Z28. The boyfriend suggested I throw some N20 at it. This is all very hypothetical at this point, but how big of a shot could I throw at it without breaking something?

75 to 100 is what I keep hearing for a stock LT1.

I ran 150 for a couple of years with no problems. I stepped up to a 175 and then did a rebuild So I would say somewhere in the range of 100-150 and you will be fine. Of course you need to take every safety precaution when and if you decide to install the nitrous.

It really depends. Some people get away with 150-200 for a good bit of time....some people have set up a shoddy kit and collapsed a ring land, burned valves, etc with a smaller shot.

Just make sure you get all the safety goodies. FPSS, window switch, colder plugs, etc etc etc....do a search in the N2O forum and you'll find out a good chunk of info on what you "should" have before running a moderately sized shot.

Just make sure you have the $$$ for a rebuild down the road
