How about you just PM/email/call Bret with this sniping crap. I, for one, am sick of seeing it on a technical board.

IMO this was built to give the LT1 a longer intake runner which the LT1 needs. But you knew that --right.
The Holley Stealth Ram gives you that.
It was also an attempt to make an affordable intake for the LT1 crowd, but it took to much work to make it fit and look like something that belonged on an LT1 instead of a converted intake.
Hell this thing is going to be worn out from shipping it all over the country instead of racing it.

Well it does provide a bit of levity for a few of us, and some insight into jnj's personality. I've decided it must be the "Big watch syndrome..."
It's fortunate that the forum is at arms length, and not up close and personal.

I haven't been on this site in about a year....I can't believe this thread is still alive and kicking!!
Soo not to be a jerk, but how hard is it to bolt this on a car and run it??
I mean damn I just want to know for peace of mind if this thing is capable of producing some big gains, and if the stock intakes really are worth ditching? If i dropped 3k for an intake you can believe I'd be in the garage wrenching away the second UPS knocked on my door.

I think some of us need to lighten up a little bit. Bashing one another is not what this site is about, all though it is some what entertaining as OldSStroker implied.
If some of you saw this manifold close up you would realise what a nice piece of workmanship it is. I can't even imagine the man hours it took for this piece of work. How many of us would take on such a task and appreciate the criticisms before the results are in?
And as far as results, the best I may be able to offer are before and after dyno numbers as I'm sure the car has more in it then has been proven at the track so far. I thought both dyno #'s and track times would be the way to go for all those waiting for results. But I have decided not to risk the motor with any more track time with the new style Comp R's. And in the end if all I gain is 20 to 30 HP and a nice boost in TQ I will be a happy camper, for this is a stock shortblock with a small Joe O. cam and a nice set of LE heads. If it's less, than oh well, my mistake.
If you guys want to argue about something, how about making it the right cam that would compliment the manifold and keeping the R's under 6600. This would be the RPM I'm willing to risk untill she blows and I can build a decent 355.
If I have any takers on cam ideas, let me know, I'll post my flow #'s.

Re: My New BRE ProRam
It was about 50 hours worth of work if I remember..... the real work is on the inside of it too.
Two more things to add.....
Watch size is directly INproportional to your "units" size. Never even thought about wearing a watch or having a "crew"
If you want to read some good "theory" Jim McFarland has some good articles in the Engine Masters Racing magazine on the newstands now..... considering that he designed most of the aftermarket intakes out there it should be a good education in to how that theory actually works.

Re: My New BRE ProRam
Just do a search on JnJ then and see his track history.... it's nothing but personal/profession attacks and instigating remarks, I'm still amazed he's still allowed to post and have his homepage in his profile if this is the policy of the site?
"No flame wars! - Do not make posts that incite arguments, or any post that turns to arguments and flame wars, etc... Posts of this nature will not be tolerated and can result in the immediate closing or deletion or editing of the post and the suspension of the posting member's account."
Dude you can close the thread, that's fine by me but it seems to be his motivation to have you do that.... go ahead do it, but just check out everyone of his posts in this thread and see if they are not directly breaking the rules stated here.
