My lt1 shuts off

My lt1 shuts off
I just installed a lt1 in my 97 z28 when I crank it it stall at 3000 rpms then a few seconds later it shut off but when I put my foot on the pedal it stays on until I take my foot off anyone know what that can be ?? I haven’t connected my pipes to my manifolds so my o2 sensors not hooked up could it be that ? ‼️‼️

Not a lot of “tech” help in “New Member Intro”, so let’s move this to “LT1 Based Engine Tech”
By “haven't connected .... pipes to manifolds, do you mean no exhaust system past the stock cast iron exhaust manifolds? Good way to burn an exhaust valve or two. The O2 sensors don’t work when they are cold and are not used at startup, or for the first 3 or 4 minutes of operation.
