Moving O2 sensors down the exhaust

Ever since I put my Dynatech long tube headers on I've been going through O2 sensors for some reason. Now I work at an exhaust factory so I was going to make myself a new y-pipe and was thinking maybe if I plugged the O2 holes in my collectors and put new ones in the pipe right after the headers maybe the O2's might last longer? Would this make any difference? What would cause an O2 sensor to keep going out prematurely? Any input would be appreciated

Describe symptoms/results that make you think the sensors are going out. It does not make a lot of sense.

Yeah it doesnt make a lot of sense for them to keep goin out, what brand O2's are you using, i'd only use the ac delcos. It sounds like maybe a problem in the wire harness or something, also typically you want the O2's faily close to the exhaust ports, so they stay warm enough.
