My LT1 EFI Connection Dyno

Just had a new cam installed, along with a TH400/trans-brake/5000RPM converter and an LS1 pcm conversion (no opti/single coil any longer). Tuned locally here. Thought I'd share the numbers.

385 CI, 12.4:1 SCR
AI LT4 heads/intake
HR cam 246/254
Coan TH400/5000 rpm Coan Converter/t-brake
12-bolt/4.10 spool

That's excellent with the TH400, 12-bolt and 4.10. With same setup, I measured 19.8% drivetrain loss at the 400rwHP level. My stall isn't as high, posi in place of the spool, and it was a non-locking converter. If you had similar losses, you would be at 525HP at the flywheel.

Nice! So tempted to get this EFI system especially since I have no one local that can do an LT1 tune and not thrilled with mail order tunes. But there is Kaltech a few miles down from me that does dyno tunes.

Are you using a single or double roller? I've got a double roller and I've been told that EFI has a billet timing cover to fit double rollers and their reluctor wheel.

How easy was the harness install?

Wow! That's some serious driveline loss! What's the percentage with a T56 and a stock 10 bolt with 4.10's?

Harness install was cake for me. I dont know about anybody else. I bought mine pre made however. Congrats on the #'s throught that auto SSMPSTR. I am loving not having to worry about ignition problems with this setup. My tuner even said he could tell a difference in how it runs and the mannerism of the vehicle.
