Is my IAC sticking or is it my pcm?

Sometimes my idle stays high for a few seconds (1500rpms with the IAC reading >100 on my scanmaster,) the sometimes its fine and slowly goes down to 52, and idles at 900RPM's. Are these a sign of a sticking or bad IAC?

When my iac went bad, the PCM sent it all the way to 0, but it didn't have any effect on idle speed. Unless the iac reads 0 on the scanmaster, i think that means that the PCM is not trying to close it any further. Even with a good iac, sometimes my idles stays high for a while, but then it mellows out.

I had a problem idling too what i did was take off the throttle body and clean everything take it apart and clean it with throttle body cleaner and q-tips. well don't remove the tps or iac. just clean around them you'll need new gaskets. I also got some electric parts cleaner and cleaned my maf with a q-tip, be carefull. Mines was freally grasy probably because of the k&n. i put it all back on the car, gave i a little pressed on the gas held it there, turn the car on then immediately cut it off, wait 20 sec then cut it back on. It was night and day for me.

How do you do that process to reset the IAC?

Try dabbing some oil with a Qtip on the TB butterfly rod where it meets the TB housing. My rpms would hang after I cleaned my TB, this cured the problem.
