My higher rpm dyno issue? Opti-sensor?

Car has a Delteq, NGK-TR6's @ .030", fuel is good, valve train is good...

Only thing never swapped out was the original opti-spark, which houses the optical sensor that the Delteq uses.

I am going to take the car to the track Saturday and see what it does short shifting and then try a replacement opti-spark to see if I can get some more horsepower and another 500 rpm out of the car.

Any thoughts before I start digging into it again?

Thats right about where my car cuts up and shows its azz...at 6700.

You can try a new opti...shot in the dark there.

If the high or low resolution pulses were missing from the internal optical module you should get a cooresponding DTC. My guess would be the rotor screws are loose, which typically causes a high-RPM miss first, then gets worse.

Again, the optical module typically works, or it doesn't. Other then some crap in the strobe wheel messing-up the pulse count.

The high-RPM miss could also be a valve train or float issue
