The car does indeed use the maf in PE mode. However unlike part-throttle, there is no learning and it is simply a table lookup. X amount of fuel for Y amount of air. The BLM's (LTerms) are used if they are over 128. These BLM's are used from the cell the car was in when PE mode was engaged.

Going back to the original poster the car might be missing because it is lean, not because of an inadequate ignition. I would get the A/F right and then retest.

What do I need to do to get the A/F ratio into the corret range? Do I need to have the computer tuned to do it or is there something that I can do without having it tuned? I am planning to do a cam swap and header install as soon as I can get this worked out. I am actually taking a break right now from checking the plugs and wires. Also, what A/F ratio should I be aiming for? Maybe 12.5 or so? Once again, thanks for everyone's input thus far.

If you have a ported or larger-than-stock maf get rid of it - that will cause the car to run lean. Otherwise you will need to get the computer reprogrammed assuming everything in your fuel system is up to par. There could also be some issues with your fuel system. Injectors, regulator, fuel pump okay? Or, maybe the shop's A/F meter was off....

Do you have any logging software like datamaster? That would help confirm any possible fuel system problems.

For NA I would go for like 12.8:1, but anywhere from 12.5 to 13 to 1 is good. Some people have said that the dyno tune runs a little leaner at the track, so 12.8:1 is a good compromise.

All of the plugs look a little lean. They are a little too white. I am not really sure where I will go from here. The plugs were all secure and they don't look all that bad. The car idles nicely and runs pretty well. I probably wouldn't have even worried about this if I hadn't seen the dyno graph. The opti has less than 20,000 miles on it, so I hope that it isn't the culprit. I guess that I am just going to put the new plugs in and then get it scanned.
