are my dyno numbers low?
are my dyno numbers low?
is 266 rwhp and 304 rwtq low for my mods with out spray. it seems that most people from my research are getting around 280rwhp. the torque seems to be there but not the hosepower.
the guy that dyno it and the guy that went with me think that my numbers are low because i dont have a intake, and that my cat back is factory with the expection of my flow master and my cut out.
I did not put a cat back on there because it has a three inch exhaust with mandible bends. so I did see the point.
I think my next mod is going to be 1.7rr and a bbk intake. do you think that that will get me to the 300 rwhp, because thats my goal.
thanks

Re: are my dyno numbers low?
I'd say get a cai before you get a bigger throttle body. To answer your question, 1.7s, cai, headers, and a tune would probably be pretty close to 300rwhp

Re: are my dyno numbers low?
Put an intake like a Moroso CAI or K&N on. With 1.7s (new springs as well), and underdrive pulley (go 35% ud) and a good tune with a 160 or 170 deg thermostat.
Re: are my dyno numbers low?
Just for referance. In my 96 TA A4 I made 284rwhp and 307rwtq SAE with Lt's, K&N CAI, elec W-pump, flowmaster catback with a home made "Y" pipe witch was horable. On the stock tune. The AFR was right at 12.1
