Both are 1/8" aluminum, plenty strong IMO

I originally went with 3/16 steel plate and it walked the belt under 7000rpm so I changed over to 1/2" alumimum plate on the powersteering setup and the alt is just a bit over 1" mainly since it did not want to use spacers and it looked better.
