Maybe he already has the money for the beater or is working on it...

3000 could make your car hella fast and drivable...

since you have a big throttle body you might as well get a set of heads and cam to compliment it as well as a port matched intake and some long tubes... for the price and personal experience i would go with the pacesetter ceramic coated LT's...
I would look into an le2 package...
Then purchase some et streets to get that power to the pavement...

I'd buy used parts to make your budget go further. Used heads, long tubes, rockers, intake etc. Buy a new ,matching cam /gaskets. Mail order or dyno tune.

So because my car doesn't pull the front wheels of the ground means that i have no experience...
And no experience with something like headers?

Nothing wrong with going cam only, noone seems to have put that out there yet.

Easy enough, can be done for $1k and has the potential to get you low 12's / high 11's if done right.

The key to how far the $3,000 will go lies in determining how much of the labor he is willing to do himself. $3,000 worth of parts + D-I-Y labor goes a lot farther than $1,800 worth of parts + $1200 for a shop to do it. Hard to solve the equation, when you don't know all the variables.
