MSD Plug Wires?

So, I just bought myself the MSD Super Conductor 8.5mm wireset.

Part No. 32149.

On the MSD site, it says for 93-97 LT1 Camaros. I have a 97, so I figure great.

http://www.msdignition.com/1wires.htm

But on the box, it says "LT1 Camaro, 93-96"

Now is there any reason these wouldn't fit my car? Is this just an oversight on the box?

I'm pretty sure they'll be ok, but now I'm kinda nervous about it.

I figure someone here aughtta know.

Thanks!

I don't know of any thing different for 97... they should work. On the web site it says "92-97 LT1 Camaro".. and you are saying on the box "93-96 LT1 Camaro". Sounds like MSD isn't sure what years the LT1 was in the F-body (93-97).

you could do MSD a huge favor and drop them an email. I'm sure they'd love to hear from you. Explain to them the camaro was a 93-97 LT1 and on the website it says 92-97 and on the box it says 93-96 so they need to correct both of them. I'm sure the next guy with a 97 would love to know also.

Good idea on the e-mail. I'll go ahead and do that right about now.

I was figuring it was just a mixup in years due to confusion between Camaro/Vette LT-1s

i think its because of the coil. you have an updated opti end on your coil where 93-95 camaros dont. this means the coil wire probably wont work unless they left the end off of it for you to build yourself.

Yeah, I just went and looked on my box. Mine also says for Camaro LT1 93-96. It should still work fine either way I guess. It doesn't really matter for me because I got a 95

I have the same plugs and MSD sent me 2 coil wires, I believe one was a bootleg boot and the other was a straight tip boot. I can't remember b/c they have been on my car for a few months. I still one wire laying in my room collecting dust. I think that wire is the one that goes on the 97 models if you are right.

It was mostly addressed here, but in case anyone was wondering:
Dear Sir;

That is correct, the Camaro did not receive the LT-1 until 93. The
32149
wire set will cover 93' to 97' LT-1's. It comes with both coil wires for
OBD-1 and OBD-2 coils.

Thank You,
MSD Tech
