MPH down with Vig & 3.23's

2 years ago I had 4.10's with no vigilante with my A4
My best was 13.0@109 but usually a 107mph. 1.9 60ft

Now with a 2800 vigilante, 3.23's and hal shocks and a new trans
I can't get better than a 1.9 60ft and 13.3 @101.5 and tonight a 13.5 @ 104 with a 2.0 60ft.

Have any of you guys lost MPH with going with higher gears or a vigilante?

On street tires, I went from 106.9mph to 105.9 mph with the vig. 2800, but that was with the same gears (3.23s)

Something's not right with your tranny if you're going slower AND losing MPH.

I don't think anythings wrong with the tranny. It's been completely gone thru and feels very good.

If I lost say 2mph with the vigilante and 2 mph with going back to 3.23's That would be my 4mph and The funny thing is I didn't have traction problems before with out the vigilante. I was getting better lights.

I'm trying to decide what to do. Should I get some Slicks or ET drags, put some 3.37's in.
With the vigilante it's like I'm on street tires again and I have Nitto 315's

I picked up about 2mph going down to 3.23 from 3.73 gear. with a 3k stall. but I have only ran 8th mile tracks this year. did your 8th mile times change any?And picked up .14 in the 8th.

Javier,

What kind of tires are you running? I think I'm loosing a lot of ET from traction and I think the MPH is due to heat. I was able to get 2 mph last night just from letting the car cool off a little bit.
The big thing abou the vigilante is I can't get the car to hook even with the hal shocks and Nitto 315's.

I'm thinking I need to get some Et streets
