Ok. You talked me into it. Got a read up on it? Or where I can buy the vacuum caps? Or can you list off everything I'll need? This is a response I'm looking for. Thank you.

Makaveli, thank you as well. I never ran it with the cutout. Thing is, I have no catalytic converter, and the Hooker Aerochamber is pretty straight through. So I dunno how much I'll gain. I know when I ran it in August, it picked up about 2 tenths. So I'll cross my fingers for later in Oct.

Here is a write up, but you have a 94 so you will probably need a kit. The picture doesnt really help unless you know what you are looking for.

Its really easy. If you just look at the TB on the bottom left hand side you will see a hose and on the bottom right you will see another hose the same size. You just need to some how get these two hoses together. With the kit you get a piece of copper piping, two hose clamps and two vacuum caps. The vacuum caps just plug up where you took the hoses off of the TB. They really arent needed. With the 95 you can just hook the hose attacked to the radiator to the hardline that runs down the passenger side valve cover. This is what might be different on a 94. But the principle of it is simple. Just get the two hoses together.

http://www.bfranker.badz28.com/fbody/intakefix.htm

that has a few links to how-tos on the mod.

how do you like it without the cats? is it annoyingly loud or does it smell a lot? i was thining about deleting my cats when i go to long tubes, but i dont want it too crazy loud or to smell a lot all the time. i wouldnt mind at all if it wasnt my daily driver, so im worried about traffic and all.

Thanks.

Makaveli - Thanks. I love it without the cats. I had it without cats when I still had manifolds. Check out my website for sound clips. It gives it a good growl. It is loud, but I like it loud. Also, yes, it does smell quite a bit. But if you can get past it, it's awesome. When it had the cats, it was mellow sounding, but deep. Without it, it gained a crack and still retained the depth. I like it and wouldn't change it for anything.

Re: More speed. What can I do?

quick question about the tb bypass on the 94's, i'm pretty much use to carbs and car's with no computers... but wisnce i got my Z28 i havent been able to touch it because of all the comp crap on it and i just want a few minor things to give it a little more kick like this little mod... does it require any comp tuning? and are there any other mods like this? (good ole days of an hours work with adjusting timing on the distributor and gas in the carb are gone i guess ) .. and another thing 7rwhp is nice for somethin this simple if it doesnt screw with the comp at all, but what about tq? what kind of gains or loss does that see? (ok guess it ended up not bein such a quick question)

Re: More speed. What can I do?

All you do is pull the hoses off the TB and connect them together...done.

BTW, you asked about free mods.. your not going to gain anything significant from doing them.. You asked and then rejected the mods we suggested saying they wernt worth your time. You deserved the response you got. You posted you knew how to remove your seat/pull the spare tire (these weight reductions are prolly worth nothing in reality.. 100lbs = 1 tenth) but not willing to do the little things that add up. Unless your stance on that has changed... I stand by my first impression.

You obviously don't read too f*cking good. I just said I was gonna do the TB bypass few replies ago. Most of the mods that were suggested at first, I've already done. The reason I said the TB bypass wasn't worth my time, is because I heard it does pretty much nothing. Btw, pulling the spare/jack when my car was stock netted me a tenth. So take your impression, and stick it up your ***.

btw- i wonder why someone would think your lazy, the t/b bypass (wasnt) worth your time, the sway bar requires the precise removal of not 5 but 10 lugnuts. sounds like a days work right there.

maybe you should take it to the shop and have them work on it, probably be easier then popping the hood yourself!

Re: More speed. What can I do?

You don't need to remove the front wheels to pull the sway bar. Just pull the car onto some ramps and remove the bar. Easy.

Dear sweet christ. I don't feel like removing the tires AT the track. The TB bypass wasn't worth my time not because I don't wanna do it, because a while back I had heard it wasn't worth it to do. Hopefully your thick skull will let that seep through and maybe you jackasses will understand what I'm saying. I'm looking to have everything done by the time I get to the track. Not while I'm there. And I am not removing the sway bar before I go to the track because I don't feel like driving 100+ miles on the interstate without it. Maybe someone will read this reply instead of stating the same useless crap again.
