Not sure what your question is but no not any piston will do. You have compression ratio to worry about. Valve clearance to worry about. The list goes on and on.

Let's hear the question so we can help.

well i cant seem to find a place i can get a kit for, just like....for a FULL top & bottom end rebuild, i want my ,every day car, lt1 6 speed to run high 10's low 11's w/o nitrous and w/o a huge gear in the rear, i want a heads/cam package BUT also want to replace pistons, rods, dont no what heads to go with, but new set of heads, basicly rebuild motor completely to run high 10's low 11's and be every day driveable

valve clearence? if i get roller rockers and low comp pistons, a real strong cam, like .510 int lift 540 exh. , what does the stock LT1 crank break at (HP range)? what about the rods?

500+ rwhp is where the stock nodular iron crank starts to take a crap. Not sure about the rods, someones got to know.

Not sure about your expertise but I suggest you contact a few engine builders like scoggin-dickey, TPIS or best of all Nick Norris at Nu-Tek Motorsports. This guy eats sleeps and drinks LT1's. He can provide you with anything you need from parts to a crate engine. try calling 866-77nutek or on line at www.nu-tekmotorsports.com

As far as valve clearance is concerned, that depends on crank throw, rod length, piston compression height, cam lift to mention a few.

Just to give you an idea I have a 3.75 stroke with 6" rods. I wanted about 1 tick lower in compression (about 9.4:1) and high lift (0.563) so my pistons are -24cc dish type.

These guys can help you talk to them. After that read, read, read.
