Miss...Blowing Fuse

I blew two ignition fuses saturday back to back and by looking at the fuse that's in there now it doesn't have much time left on it either...just wondering what could be causing this to happen...also the car does have a miss...all plug wires are ok...just changed the plugs..maf is ok...opti seems to be ok..or at least it does feel like the opti...i've went through 3 of those...just driving around it will all of a sudden bogg down, i can let off the gas or give it a little more then it will quit. also...it's made my car way off at the track...last time out i ran a 12.7 with a 1.91....saturday i ran a 13.16 with a 1.85...my 1/8 mile was off from my last run by .3 and my mph was down 5 from the last run..just wondering if you guys would have any suggestions. i do have autotap but im throwing a cranksensor code right now and it won't show any misfires. Any help would be appreciated..thanks

May be a LONG shot, but you have LT's. There has been cases of people burning O2 sensor wires on them, and that triggers a pop'ed fuse. Its the Eng .... fuse, I forget what it is. My buddy had the same problem.

Each fuse has a # on it. Look at the listing on the cover of the underhood panel box.

Mine was doing the same thing, it turned out that it was in the wiring harness piece that goes between the passenger side header (hooker long tubes) and the wheel well. I think that harness holds the o2 sensor wires and the crank sensor wires, the crank sensor is on that ignition fuse and if it is burnt and grouding on the header it will blow the fuse.

Looking at Shoebox's wiring diagrams, fuse #11 supplies the solenoids associated with the A4... TCC lockup, 1-2 shift, 2-3 shift, 3-2 shift.

Only problem is Shobox's diagrams are for a 95, and the 96 might be different.

I would say they are different cause the car shifts fine etc...and on the box it says 11...with the ignition below it...it's getting a little worse as i drive it...it almost pops while driving 55...its a very noticable miss...i ordered a coil and i'm gonna check for any lose wires hopefully tmw...once again guys thanks for all the help...i posted in my home states board and no one has even offered to help...so thanks for all you guys help on this board.
