Misaligned Opti.......
Misaligned Opti.......
I recently had a bad Opti, used the techniques posted in the sticky thread to diagnose.
However, my car still doesn't start. If I were to go through the steps again, I would imagine everything would look good if the new opti is good. But if I stabbed the thing in wrong, how would I know without taking everything apart again?

Re: Misaligned Opti.......
You wouldn't.
When it tries to start, is the any backfiring or chugging? If the dowel pin is in the wrong hole, its either advanced or retarde 120 cam degrees (240 crank degrees) and it going to sound really weird. Are the injectors firing?
Did you check for codes before replacing the Opti?
