I just installed a new opti and the engine is running terrible. I don't really notice any misfires, but has no power, it's slow to rev up, and will barely reach 5.5k rpms in neutral. Is it possible for the engine to still run eventhough the opti it misaligned? And could this cause it to burn spark plug wires?

It won't burn plug wires, but yes it can run and run poorly, depending on how far off it is.
