MIght have bad plug...sounds like its on 7 cyl, and backfires on decel...help

I put some new plugs in and im thinking either i have a wire setting against a header primary or one of the plugs are bad. It ran flawless a couple days after the plug install. Now i go out and start it up it runs rough and sounds just like it did before when i had a lose plug that needed retightened. What does this sound like? I looked at my wires and 2 look like there sitting on my headers from where i moved them installing the plugs. I may have to replace them. I also noticed it backfiring once if i rev up to about 3-4k and let it drop back down. Someone help please, i need to figure this out asap. Thanks alot.

Get an infrared temperature gun, and take the temperature of each of your header tubes. The tube that's cold is the bad cylinder. Replace that plug (or wire)

Is there any other options to check which cyl is misfiring or which plug might be bad?

You can always pull each plug and check for spark by looking, but the easy choice is the temp gun. They can be had for $30 at radio shack, and come in handy more often then you'd think

I just came back inside from looking at the wires. Had to let it cool for a few. Found a wire that the rubber has dried and just fell off in one spot about the size of a dime and all i see is the braided line on the inside of the wire. This must be where my problem is coming from. Im gonna get new wires and over the valve cover looms. Does this sound like the culprit to you guys?

Well here is a little update. Its late and the plan was for honey-dear to take me to work in the morning. Well I was sitting here thinking about what it could be and I was still stuck on that damaged wire. So i decided to go outside, tape up the damaged wire with electrical tape, move it so that it isnt touching anything. I start it up and take it around the block and it runs like new again. Im gonna order new wires and over the valve cover looms to do them the right way. This is my 2nd burnt wire. I was lucky for about 1.5 years with no burnt wires. It was obviously arcing and hitting the primary causing the misfire. Thanks for replying though Spinner. Im sure i'll remember the info you gave me in the future.
