It does it when I am getting into it pretty good. Usually around the 5-5500 rpm range. Any ideas?

 

What does it?

 

If you have an aftermarket gear ratio like 3.73 or 4.10's then the noise is normal, if not then I'm not sure. Hope it helps!

 

Can you go into further detail? I am assuming it is from under hood? My car makes a whine, kinda like a supercharger at that rpm. I think it is just the sounds it is suppose to make at 5K

 

Yes, from under the hood. My son thinks it sounds cool. Does it at higher RPM. Oh well, other than that, the motor is rockin'
Will be doing a rebuild on it shortly. Trying to decide between a high HP/compression 383, or low HP/compression 350 and supercharge it.

usually if its your gear ratio the noise would come from the rear, your back seat area. It does sound pretty mean!!
