and im pretty sure with a stall , 58mm tb ,42lb inj and retuning it he could lay down almost 450 to 460 rwhp
just something to think about , he can ebliterate the tires at 40 mph running 255/50zr16's like it is now,

im waiting for him to send me his 52mm tb comp pro magnum rr's and some other stuff
Those are some very impressive numbers, Whats he redlining at?

When you say bbk underdrive pulleys , do you mean this?

And would you be able to use the same belt?

he is redlining at 6500 rpm

yes that is the bbk kit but is should come with a shorter belt i can get the belt part # u will need if u want

Not really sure why your shifting at 5800, i know people say these engine aren't made for the high RPM but thats also with the stock set up, with the CC306 take that thing up higher like 6200 and shift.. You have the heads to flow so why not put them to use, and get those 2.73 out of that rear, with 3.73 and a 3,000+ stall that thing will move off the line but you will need a good tire and some suspension work to get her to hook.. If your going after a LS1 like that your going to have to leave with him and take the RPM like they do or else they will eat you alive cause while your shifting their pulling away..

he has 126k on stock bottom end , the reason i say not to go much above 6100 rpm if u have stock bottom end and some miles on it , yes he was makin power beyond 6600 rpm but he didnt wanna be on barrowed time at that rpm, but also the bottom end is in very good condition.

Get at least a 3.23 axle from a junkyard. I've been in a 2.73 and they feel weird. Much more highway geared and can't take off worth a crap.

Should I try to find a whole rear end or just the gear ring & pinion? What series carrier do I have?

The gears in the "base" V8's, with an A4 tranny were 2.73's (RPO GU2). You got 3.23's if you opted for the "performance rear axle" package (GU5). 3.42's (GU6) were only used in the M6 cars starting on 94 model year. In 93, even the M6's had either 2.73 or 3.23 gears.

2.73's use a 2-series carrier. But you can buy 3.73's for a 2-series..... they are just thicker than the 3.73's for a 3-series.
