I selected Private Party Value.

Ehh.. who knows then. The price isn't bad assuming everything checks out okay.

Thanks GTP.

I have to ask though... How do the LT1s compare to the LS1s performance wise?

They both respond well to mods. However, the LS1 has quite a bit more power out of the box and are underrated in terms of power from the factory.

What can I expect to put to the ground with a 97 SS with simple bolt ons (full exhaust, air intake)?

Depending what bolt-ons you do, on an M6 you can range anywhere from 280-300 at the wheels. And as for an edit to my original post, it looks like I forgot to check the SS package box on the KBB site, after doing that my numbers match yours.

well, you already have an air-intake as part of the SS package, thats what the ram-air is for
anyways, do either mac-midlengths, or a longtube headers, and a cat-back exhaust and you'll be around 290RWHP i would say.

I've had an LT1/4 'Vette for 8 years. Modified the crap out of it and it runs great.
Trust me... skip this bastard and go for the LS1. It'll be cheaper and your horsepower gains per dollar will be much greater.

I modify mine out of pride. The LT1 was only made for 5 years and has some exclusive hardware. It's difficult and expensive to compete with newer (better) technology. I now know how Mopar guys feel.

Just buy an LS1, if I didn't dump so much money into my car I would have bought an LS1 a long time ago. I live seeing LS1's making 440+rwhp cam only when heads/cam LT1's are only making 400-420rwhp.

Welp, I was looking at LS1 cars and they are obviously more expensive. The purpose of this car is to get me through until the 2009 Camaro is available. I don't want to break the bank.
