Can you gain as much hp as they say you can by switching the mass air flow sensor?

 

Na, Beave, on some cars it might alter the mixture and result in some gains, that might get adjusted out by the computer, but the stock MAFs aren't a restriction on a normal engine. Did that Eddie Haskell tel you to change your MAF?

 

you are much better off with the stocker, aftermarket is just asking for problems

 

Some of the marketers of LT1 long blocks insist on the use of STOCK maf sensors, so.....

 

I am still using my stock one.I think they are good till 9`s anyway

 

A few guys have used the Z06 MAF, but they are found on some pretty healthy 383's and 396's. They have also had their cars tuned on a dyno, which is VERY important. Its not just an install and run deal. I will be using the Z06 MAF and getting a tune in the spring after Im done making a few changes.
