Question Manual fan switch

I read somewhere on here about somone buying a manual fan switch made specifically for the lt1/ls1 to be able to turn the fans on with out having the car get hot first. Who makes it and where can it be purchased?

Why pay $70 for one from SLP when you can make one with common Radio Shack parts in about 2 hours time for around $15.. If you want help Id be more the happy to help you through it or talk to Shoebox he is a wealth of knowledge!!!

Yes it is easy to wire but it is easier to install that switch if you are not electrically inclined.

That's a pretty good set of instructions. I'll use it for the LED's.

Ok i hooked up my wires for the manual fan switch and when i throw the switch to one side the fan comes on but when i throw it to the other side, nothing happens. Did all the fans come to where you can set it for high and low, or just certain years? As long as I can get the fan to come on when throwing the switch, does it matter about the other speed?

u can but a reprogramed comp. for $75, u can have the fans turned on sooner (no switch then), and have rev limiter, speed limiter and all that stuff taken off too.

If you have a 93 then your fans only have one speed. If not, then recheck your connections and the wiring you tapped.
