Ok heres the problem. I recently bought a 1997 trans am ws6. It has headers,dynomax cats,flowmaster american thunder cat back, hypertech, 3.73's,160 therm. and some others. The problem is that it is running pretty crappy. I wen to the track and pulled a best 14.64@96mph. My 60ft. was a 2.1. I dont know what is killing it, my SES light stays on and I dont have O2 sensors.will that hurt me? what are some other possibilities that could be hurting me. I just know the car can do better. You're running 14.6s with no O2 sensors?? That's pretty damn good if you ask me. You're saying you have no O2s...does that mean you have no pre-cat sensors, or no post-cat sensors? It's ok if you don't have the post-cat sensors, but the pre-cat ones are crucial for fuel trim and delivery.

 

I am positive there are none at all.

 

Then what do you have plugging the O2 bungs on the headers?

 

Heck with that - what do you have doing your fuel management? Without a ton of work, your car won't run right without O2 sensors...
