Do you have the diodes in correctly? If you have the polarity reversed it will not work. You want the white band on the diode on the switch side. If you got prewired LED's from Radio Shack, you shouldnt even need the diodes so you can remove them. Unplug the harness with the blue and green wires and jumper the pins to ground to make sure you have the correct wires, the fans should kick on (93-95 key must be on). Hope that helps, I've done 2 obd2's and 1 obd1.

The diodes are in correctly, fuse is not blown. I don't have all the tools I need to diagnose the problem out here at work, I'll have to wait till the weekend when I can use a meter and see where the problem is.

Well i was gonna buy one from slp but i think i will just try to make one. I think i got the idea down, but where am i supposed to tap into a 12v source from? Also since i got a obd2 i got to put the resistors in. Do i put them right next to where i tap into the blue and green lines or can i put them right next to the switch? Last question is if i use a led with built in resistors do i still have to use the diodes? And how will i know if i got to use a diode or not? Thanks.

There is a 12v source right at the lighter. The resistors can go anywhere it is convenient for you. Using the diodes has nothing to do with the LEDs using resistors or whether they are built in or not. You may or may not need the diodes. You will just have to try it out.
