MAF readings at idle

Lately my MAF has been reading around 12-13 gps at idle. I have been told this is too high. What are common reasons that would cause a high reading and should I be concerned?

Yes I have cleaned my MAF

At idle MAS should read 6gps -10gps.
Low- may have vacume leak
High- if idle is correct, faulty or miscalibrated MAF. The problem is typical to home proted units.

Too high for a pure stock car. If you have modifications, they need to be known to answer the question accurately.
