maf question

i did a search but didnt find what i was looking for. should unplugging the maf while engine is running cause the engine to shut down?

and another question off topic: how much oil do you normally lose adjusting valve lash w/engine running method?

MAF - The car might or might not, When i do it the cars idel getts really jumpy then after a minute the computer goes into speed density mode and all is fine.

No idea about the oil, i wouldnt think more then a quart tho. If you worries just check it betwen valves

Re: maf question

usually the car will turn right off...when i ported mine, i didnt snap the connection back right, and when the engine would torque the sensor would lose contact and the car would shut off. this is because the engine doesnt know how much air is coming into the engine so it cant adjust for fuel, and as a safety method shuts off.

Re: maf question

it is way better. before it was kinda choppy at idle like it had a miss or something and they were pretty loud. not clicking type of loud but not right. the egr valve was stuck closed also, so both repairs have made a huge improvement.
