Thumbs down MAF problems

Hey guys, car has been throwing a code for the MAF. So, I bought a new one...genuine GM part...and i am still getting the same code. Is there anyway to test the MAF to see if it is a faulty part? Any help or recomendations are greatly appreciated.

Re: MAF problems

check your wiring harness.. you probably just have a loose connection. I had the same problem with my car at one time and had to rebuild the connector.

Re: MAF problems

What was the exact code you got? The 97's seem to be prone to the code for the MAF "circuit" and the problem is often a break in the pink wire that supplies +12V to the sensor. Pull the connector off the sensor, key on, don't start engine, and see if you have +12V on the pink wire, and a good ground on the black wire.
