MAC Mid's Owners
MAC Mid's Owners
Im looking on going with the MAC Mid legths on my 97 Formy with the ORP setup , to go along with my lt4 HC and ported heads. But I took emissions earlier in the year. And since it was OBDII all they did was hook her up and it passed, and I didnt have to go on the dyno/sniffer.
My question is, do any of you with MAC's w/ORP, have OBDII cars? And did they pass emissions? If so, how did you do it? And did it require O2 SIMS?
I just wanna make sure I dont screw my self over and end up failing the test cause its throwing some kind of code due to the ORP.
Or do you all have better ideas? (dont say FLP's cause I cant afford them
)

i dont even have my rear o2s plugged in and it isnt throwing any codes, i heard all they do is make sure the air is flowing in a straight line or something, my car doesnt throw codes without them i dunno if this is the correct way or not
Sorry, can't help you with the question because I have a '93 with MACs...but, I like my MACs, though. I'm running 12.25 with all the emissions stuff still hooked up on the engine, but I am using an ORP...Running through a Flowmaster (no cut-out).

mine required the o2 simms. if you have the o2 simms or are lucky like c0rey, the computer doesnt know your cats are not there. therefore when they scan the computer and get no codes for failed emissions you will pass the emissions part of the inspection. so all you need is a shop that wont lift the car for a visual inspection(if they see no cats you wont pass) and o2 simms.
