MAC headers touching steering linkage!

Some one help please.... My MAC headers are touching my steering linkage... only a small amount but yet enough to produce some good vibration in the steering wheel.. My friend had the same headers and did not have this problem.. What did i do wrong.. The steering linkage is at the farthest away it can go.. Is there another part i can adjust it from.. I didnt see any.. It only rubs when the steering wheel is at certain positions.. Touches when its straight so thats really why it bothers me.. When im driving normal its not THAT bad but wow when i get on it i feel like im in a vibrator, makes the whole car shake.. NEver did it before and i know its the steering linkage.. HELP

Try to readjust the linkage. Put it where it orginally was when you took it off. Keep trying different positions. I've never heard of this problem before..

I have a ton of clearance between my headers and the steering linkage. Do you have any pictures handy of the clearance problem? I've also never heard of this issue.

I have BBK headers but there was so much room I was almost able to install them without even removing it. There is tons of room on mine. As stated above..please post some pics if you can.

Is it the horseshoe parts on each side that are hitting?
If so you may be able to bend them in a little to get some clearance.
I was afraid my LTs were going to have that problem but once everything was together I have about 3/4 inch of clearance.

Well, no luck... I was out there for a good hour and a half trying to adjust it... it wont go farther in.. its at the farthest out position it can be... it touches the same as it did before i messed with it.. its only the one side of the steering linkage.. its kinda an even oval though right? wonder why the other side doesnt hit. No one has even heard of this problem.. lol.. i dont believe my luck.. could it possibly be that little rubber rag giving way??? If so is there any place to get a new one online?? maybe a metal one? I wouldnt mind having a tighter feel on the wheel..

PS: its the middle set of primary tubes that are hitting.. not the first one. What horseshoe things and how could i bend them???

Hey...That's the thread I started! The oil pressure switch, and starter haven't been an issue, though
