mac headers on my 1 inch lowered z28.

I want to buy some macs soon. My car is dropped with 1 inch hotchkis springs. Will I have problems hitting the macs in normal driving? Is ground clearance much less with them. I do have kyb agx shocks so can dial the shocks up a bit if need be to help out if headers bottom.

My car isn't lowered at all and I have mac mids and I scraped my cat once on a speed bump but I think it's only because I had two other people in my car so it was sitting a little lower. Just go over them slow and you'll be just fine.

I have them and I dunno if you'll be OK with a lowered car or not. I have half a soda can's worth of ground clearance and I'm on stock springs. Other people report the same thing, others have their y pipes tuck up higher.

I tried adjusting mine only to get leaks. Today it still sits as pictured.

The lowest part of my exhaust when I had macs, was my cat, which was still in the stock location. so If you have macs, and a cat back, with a cat or ORP, i wouldnt think they would hang any lower. I couldnt slide my shoe under my cat sideways with stock springs.

As others have said, it's the cat and the flanges on the cat that sit the lowest. Even with a straight pipe in place of the cat, the ball/flare flange will sit the lowest.

My MAC mids with stock springs (which may have sagged 1/2" over the last 8 years) has 3 1/2" of clearance at the lowest point.

I have Mac Mids on a non-lowered Z, but I ditched the cat for an ORP w/3" manual cut-out. With stock manifolds/cat, I scraped the cat on the end of my drive every time someone else was in the car and sometimes when alone. After Macs and ORP/cut-out I scrape very rarely with 1 person in car with me. The Mac Mids give a very close to stock clearance on the exhaust. I need to rent a concrete grinder so I can put on some Hotchkis springs.

I have hooker lt's, which hang lower than the macs my hookers replaced and I dropped my car 2 inches. 10 out of 10 roads in my area are as smooth as my little sisters shifting and the only thing I ever hit is the flange on the headers, and thats rare.

I'm running mac's with a LS1 pro kit and they never hit the ground. But the lowest point on my car are the sub fram cont. They work great for pushing my car over speed bumps.
