M6 Questions.....

M6 Questions.....

First off i did a couple searches but couldn't find anything on this........ Has anybody hooked up a trans cooler for an M6? or a temp gauge. if so how/what fittings are you using on your trans? thanks

The fluid in the M6 isn't pumped so I don't know how a cooler would work. I think the only challenges with M6 is bent shift forks...not heat related.

well i've never heard of problems either, i just figured a 1pass frame cooler couldn't hurt to get it a tad cooler.........

Don't Z06's have a tranny cooler and a tranny temp guage? Look into that, maybe they make an adapter or something for a fbody M6

It can be done with a small pump (one that wil take the temperatures) similar to what's used to pump rear axles for the coolers used on them, and a small AT cooler.... That and some Fittings/hoses and it can be rigged up... take the fluid out the drain hole, and return it on the fill hole...
