This past weekend one of my friends broke his trans. He was using Nittos at the track and some how broke second gear. Is this a problem with the m6 or is this a freak thing? I heard of people breaking rears but never trans. Anyone have any ideas?

the t-56 is a relatively strong tranny. many people are running 12's on the factory tranny. if i had to guess, i would think running the car hard would be stressful on second since you usually hit that gear pretty hard. i would just take it apart and make sure nothing else is broke.

 

As stated above the t56 is a very strong tranny. HOw do you know he broke second gear?? It could be some bad synchros.
