AS&M Headers & OVC Wires?

I asked this within another post but didn't get an answer. I'd really like to know if anybody has OVC wires with their AS&M headers.

I'm installing them shortly & have the kit from Thunder Racing. Just want to know if I should attempt to do it that way.

Thanks

Well Dave, Join the club because I also asked this question and got no response. I am in the same boat as u. I also ordered the kit from TR and it will be installed on Tuesday. That seems to be the best way to minimize the burned wire problem. I ordered the ones that go on top of the cover instead of the side mount because the holes are blocked by the headers.

I'm not familiar with those headers. But go here and go to AS&M header and Random tech y-pipe install. Look at the bottom of the page under PROBLEMS.

I have SLP 1 3/4 headers and went over the valvle covers with my wires. I got the Plug wire boots and also got some Thermo shield tape both available at Summit. I have at one spot like a 1/4" clearance and the tape has kept the wires burn free.

I went over the top with mine + Taylor fire sleeves for added protection.
