Are LT's emissions legal
What is legal and illegal as far as exhaust goes.I know you can relocate your cats if they were "gone" or if your car is at least 5 years old.I want LT's,high flow cats, true duals, and anything I can get away with after that.Is having no tail pipes illegal.

Federal Law:
1. You can not relocate your cats under any circumstances.
2. You can not change the number of cats, under any circimstances.
3. You can not replace a cat within the warranty period, unless it has been proven defective.
On LT1's it is impossible to install LT's without relocating or adding (93-95) at least one of the cats. So they can not be emissions legal. Whether your state or locality enforces the Federal law varies a lot from state to state. Whether they even do a visual inspection varies from location to location. Whether they would actually know the cats had been moved or changed in number varies from location to location.

As for LT there is none that are legal. It will move your cat's which you cant do. As for being 5 year or 50,000 miles, damage yes you can change the cat out.
