I currently have a Borla exhaust and am wanting to add LT's within the next few months.

If I want an E-Cutout, do I only get one or do I get two and do them right after the headers? Also, will I still see good gains with LT's and the Borla over the "beloved" true dual setup? I love the sound of my Borla, so I really don't want to get rid of it.

Any advice?

 

The dual cutout setup hangs too low, I was scraping it everywhere. Add in e-cutouts and the problem only gets worse. Thats what I had before I went true duals.

IMO, get whatever headers and y-pipe, and get a e-plate for your Borla.

But headers will totally change the sound of the Borla. A friend of mine put Hooker LTs on his car with Borla and it went from low pitched and raspy to high pitched and a screamer.

 

I don't want to hear that about the Borla with LT's!! I honestly LOVE the way my Borla sounds on my stock LT1 and it worries me to think about what it will sound like with LT's.

Does anyone else have an opinion on Borla with LT's? Does it sound bad or just different?

If it is crappy sounding, is there another way to go in order to keep the nice rumble it has now?

I have borla with no pressure plate with mods in my signature. I love the sound, still waiting for my dmh ecutout. It's very loud , bothers my neighbors and their dogs quite a bit . If I rev my engine above 3000, it gets exponentially louder. Today I tried to go WTB in second gear at around 3000 and wheels just started spinning without using any clutch. I would say LT's+ Borla + big cam makes good combination
