LT4 and LT1 oil dip stick different?

I figured the '96 LT4 and the '95 LT1 dipsticks would have been the same, but mine are not and just want to confirm that I have the right one for my LT4 as I bought the motor used several years ago.
The LT4 one has a number 12553510 on it and I can't find that # on any of the part# lists.

The LT4 stick is only 21" long while the LT1 is 25" long...is that right?
I came across this because of my other post about the end of the stick getting broke off in the motor I assume while it was at the shop.

if you're using the lt1 pipe you should be using the lt1 stick
if you're using the lt4 pipe you'll need the lt4 stick. the pans should be the same but with diferent VCs they may have run a shorter stick to prevent it from hitting the hood in the vette's.
i didnt know they had different sticks until now...seems weird to do.

The LT4 is a different part# than both of the above, 122553510.
The cooment above about the shorter tube for VC clearance or some other clearance would make sence on the Vette cause the top of the tube isn't as tall as the one on the LT1 TA, so that explains that. thx

>is the length of the measuring section still the same as your LT1 dipstick? you'd would think that all small blocks (Gen 2) were the same length not the handle part but the measuring length. Especially when they have the same oil pan (Fbody).

The tubes are different lengths between the LT4 and LT1, on the LT4, the yellow handle is about the same height as the top of the valve cover and on the LT1 its about 6" higher to clear the strut tower and get it above the clutter.
