It might have been $27 but nothing more than that, it was a while back I don't remember exactly what I payed.

Well you got a heck of a deal. I bet dealer cost on that part is more than $17.

In the 4.5 years I've owned an LT1 they've gone from about $30 shipped to about $40 shipped from the cheapest online dealers.

Currently $47 shipped from gmpartsdirect, $48+shipping from Vandevere and $40 shipped from ac-direct.

At $48 the OP hardly got ripped off.
