LT4 knock sensor, which one?

I purchased the LT4 knock module for 94 LTI, and ordered the knock sensor that was listed on the site (GM# 16214681 ACD# 216-67) now I find there are 2 diff. sensors. hope I got the correct one for mine, if not, dealer won't do return on elec. items. Anyone know? Danny Mc

The two different sensors are probably OBDI and OBDII. The KM will work with either one. Just get the sensor for the correct PCM or use the one you already have.

So RRR what you are saying is, I spent $48 for something I didn't need since my 94 PCM is complete as it is. "OH RATS" Danny Mc

You can still use the LT4 KM in your PCM. You remove the stock KM and put the LT4 KM in it's place.

Shoebox, now I am confused, as usual. I thought the part to change for noisy eng. was the one that screws in the block. The part I have is the plastic piece that goes in PCM, do I need both, I still have the stock 94 pick-up in block. Bear with me I an trying to understand what I must do. Danny Mc

As long as the KS in your block is working, there is no need to replace it. The KM in the PCM is what is changed by most people.

Shoebox! thank you so very much, now i understand the drill. That is the part I need. Glad to know I didn't waste my money. What was confusing me, was one of the posts today discussed the 2 diff. values of them, but not which one I should use. Thanks! Danny Mc

I think you got a knock _sensor_ for $17, not the LT4 knock _module_.

There is no way to confuse the LT4 KM with the LT4 knock sensor.

All I did was go to the dealer and ask for a KM for a '96 M6 Vette, easiest way to get it.
