lt4 knock sensor module or knock sensor???
i changed out the knock sensor module with a lt4 module in the pcm and was wondering if that would do the same thing as changing out the knock sensor on the side of the block to a lt4 knock sensor.

The module is less sensitive to specific noises made by the engine bay, which directly affects the how the computer adjusts timing. I believe the sensor is the same for both engines in functionality.
If you are using an OBD1 PCM, then you do not want to use the LT4 knock sensor, only the module in the PCM needs to be changed.. The LT4 ODB2 PCMs actually use 2 knock sensors and are a different resistance than your single LT1 sensor. Switching the sensor will give you all kinds of trouble.
FYI, using a LT4 KM would cause my application to get all kinds of false knock once real knock was detected...ended up switching back to the stock LT1 KM.

There is no "LT4 knock sensor". The LT4 used the same high impedance (100Kohm) sensor at all the other LT1 OBD-II engines. All Corvette LT1's have two knock sensors, it is not unique to the LT4.
Oh sorry, I did not catch that he was already OBD2...was thinking he was OBD1 as there was no sig in the first post..
