If I got a PCM for my car do I still need the knock sensor?

your question is vague.
do you mean if you got your computer reprogrammed, would you need a LT-4 knock modual. You can have your knock sensor de-sensatized in your computer if you have someone reprogram it. But I would not recommend dleting it.

Sorry....I know everyone is recommends the LT4 Knock Module. Someone mentioned that because I had the OBD1 conversion from PCM forless I would not need it. Is that correct?

Are you talking about sensor or module?

You always need a sensor and there is not an "LT4" knock sensor. Converting to OBD-I has no bearing on what module you might want.

An LT4 Knock Sensor is the same thing as a 96-97 LT1 Knock Sensor. You're talking about the knock module which is located in the PCM.
As for whether you need it or not, it's not a necessity regardless if you had a 94-95 or a 96-97 car. Some people have seen some less knock retard with them, but if you're not getting any knock retard at all, you don't need one.

To add to the confusion...

When you switch from OBD-II to OBD-I, you need to replace the high impedance (96/97) knock sensor with a low impedance (93-95) knock sensor.
