Question M6 Starts without pushing in clutch?

Hey I just noticed after a couple of weeks of having in my new clutch that the car will start without me having to even push the clutch in. Whats up with that. Did they install it wrong or forget something along the way of installing the new clutch. You guys think this is a bad thing. Looking for some answers.
Thanks

Sounds like the switch went bad. It is located by the clutch pedal under the dash. I have had to replace mine before.

Is it bad when the switch goes bad or to have it unhooked for a long period of time. In other words will it cause any damage or cause the clutch not to work properly. As it is now it seems to be working fine.
Thanks

Nothing will happen to your clutch with the switch disabled. The only reason the switch is there is to establish a wall of safety to prevent you from accidently starting the car while in gear, possibly damaging the front or rear end of your car or someone.
