lt4 knock sensor=bad?

i feel like my car is not up to full performance, i am experiencing the hesitation in the lower rpms, and no excelleration at 40mph+, and am looking for possible fixes, i have a new alternator, fuel filter, coil, optispark, battery, 93 octane, wutnot...and jus want my car runnning good...i also hava a serious hesitation between 40-50mph, where the rear end makes a whirring sound and slight pressing the gas does nothing till it kicks in...i am curious if the lt4 knock sensor will do me ne good, ne thin would be nice, but i read somewhere that it could heart ur car, or put it in closer to the "danger zone" any info would be greatly appreciated...thank you

a lt4 knock module is a less sensitive to knock then the stock lt1 knock module. What this means is that when the knock sensor sends information to the lt4 module, it will not pull timing for "noise" in the signal such as valvetrain noise when using headers, etc. This will help you if you are experiencing false knock. If this is not the case it will not do anything for you. If you do have headers I'd recommend it.

As far as damage, the lt4 KM DOES NOT allow severe knock to "get by" so it's not a problem. I run a lt4 KM on my car with headers and a 100 shot of nitrous oxide, no problems.

I'd get a scanner and do a few runs at WOT and read your knock retard to diagnoe the problem, if you have knock retard then that could be the problem. If you are getting knock and you shouldn't be with your setup, run premium and bypass the sensor and if you run better, get a lt4 KM. Or just buy one now, they are cheap.

Just make sure you get a knock MODULE not a sensor. If you install an LT4 sensor, your car will run even crappier.
Sounds like you may have some other problems as well.
