LT4 intake manifold

Would you feel a difference in a 1994 chevy camaro lt1...if you put an lt4 manifold on thier?

LT4 intake will not bolt onto lt1 heads...ports and angles are different i beleive.

there isn't much hp to be gained in them, it's just that they are different to accomodate the different heads.

so don't worry about it

well i was goin to get the lt4 manifold from summit that fits the lt1

Go back and read what the Summit catalog says... doesn't say it fits the LT1.... it says its works with the things that attach to the LT1 intake (like the sensors, throttle body, etc.). Click on the part # and if you read carefully, at the bottom you will find:
Requires LT4 cylinder head conversion.
Lets try it one more time... the LT4 intake manifold will not bolt to LT1 cylinder heads, unless the intake or the heads are modified to eliminate an interference between the top of the LT4 intake runners and the valve cover support rail on the LT1 heads.

After spending $200+ for the intake, and then having it machined, you can bolt it up. The gains from this will be approximately "0" HP. Although the intake runners of the LT4 heads is 0.100" taller than the ones in the LT1 heads, the LT1 and LT4 manifold runners are virtually identical. There is no difference in the openings... the LT4 intake simply has more metal at the top of the runner so they can be ported to match LT4 heads. The LT4 intake doesn't match thte LT4 heads as shipped from the factory.

All of this has been posted many times and could have been found with a "Search"

Yep... specially with a little bit of aluminum polish on the fuel rails.....

Its a cut down stub of a -6AN fitting welded to the cross-over tube.
