Re: LT4 Hot Cam Shift points..... Help!

ok so i just did a hotcam kit, i have alvins tune still in it which is for the stock cam. I drove it a few times at WOT and it didnt feel any more powerful then the stock cam, actually it felt less powerful. I know this is because of the tune but how much of a difference will a tune make? I hope i get at leaste 30 rwhp more then now.

I agree with Hardcore125's first post. No reason to top it off at 6800 since power peakes at 6100. Shift it at 62 or 63. That's what my old Hot Cam setup was shifting at and I was running 12.40's easy with stock heads.

My tune from alvin helped a boatload. Eliminated surging and rough idle. The car seemed to pull almost twice as hard after the tune. A tune can definately make all of the difference.
