I want to do all the work myself. my dad has more experience than I do so he will be helping.

I really just want an estimate on the cost of the cam install including gaskets and internals that would be good to replace on my high-mileage motor.

when it was all said and done i spent just about $1,200 for everything. lt4 kit, timing chain, gaskets, oil, coolant, funnels, etc.... i did the work with the help of someone else. took a weekend to do

It's a pretty full weekend. Things always happen like rusted bolts or one that is tough to get to.
