Where to buy fuel injectors?

It was recommended to me to replace the fuel injectors in my Z. But where can I find reasonbly priced fuel injectors? I have been looking and I can find some...but they all seem really expensive. Any tips to a good place to get fuel injectors? Or what kind of fuel injectors to buy? Or as to what the prices are that they run?

I was just asking if you were planning to mod the car more than bolt-ons. once you start getting into cams bigger than a hotcam and into lifts like the .570's youll want to upgrade your injectors. but if your staying mostly a stock car and boltons they 24's are fine. and like I said check ebay you may find some for cheap.

Im not sure but I think you shouldnt need new injectors until about 350 horsepower. Thats flywheel horse power not wheel horsepower. Also who told you that you need bigger injectors, and why. Do you have the specs on that cam because you probably arent at that 350 horsepower mark.

24lbs injectors will support 350rwhp, not flywheel. If your only mods are the ones in your sig you dont need them. Your far far away from needing them.

I just got mine from racetronix. It was a PayPal transfer and it was smooth. They are 38# Delphi 6-hole injectors. I'm going to put the car together this Sunday and will test them out. They are delivered in a plastic bag that is lightly oiled.

I recommend them.

im not quite at 350hp but could also be that mine are a little old, but I jsut got back form the dyno a few days ago and couldnt do much spark advance because injectors were not cooperating. What duty cycle are they runnign at 350hp, becuase my tuner said not to take them past 80%. I have a hotcamkit and im going up to 30lbers

I meant to only ask about stock fuel injectors. When I say I was told to get new ones, I didn't mean that the person told me to get bigger injectors. The guy who did the work to the car recommended that I get NEW injectors...I don't think he said anything about get bigger.

I wish I had the specs on the cam. When I bought the car I didn't really know a lot about cars or anything...so I didn't bother to ask. I just tried to get in touch with the guy that I bought it from yesterday, to see if he could give me all the info about everything done to the car. But, the number doesn't work. Is there anyway to find out what Cam is in the car?

It's generally a good idea to keep the injectors at 80% duty cycle or below. With a stock tune, that will limit you to about 350-360 flywheel HP. Yes, you can exceed 80% DC, and many people do. Eventually, running them at high duty cycles, the flow, spray pattern and electrical characteristics of the injectors will deteriorate. At 100% DC, you will be at about 430 flywheel HP (varies, depending on the efficiency of the combustion chambers, quality of the tune and the resulting brake specific fuel consumption).

It makes no sense to try and relate injector size to rear wheel HP, since the fuel demand is set by the flywheel HP, not the rear wheel HP. The injectors could care less whether you are running the HP through a 12.5% loss M6 setup, or a 22.5% TH400 with a loose converter.

Have you thought about cleaning them instead of replacing them?
